Really nice friendly atmosphere and staff. Had a laugh with some of the locals too. Only downside is we went there for food, but the chef was arriving later and later. I reckon that would be a temporary problem though. You can always phone in advance to check.
Service was slow today & staff not particularly attentive. Food was a long time arriving and whilst of good quality & presentation some of our table had beautifully hot food & others only warm which detracted from the experience. There was a very large party in at the time & restaurant area pretty full, perhaps this was just too much for them to cope with today.
Outstanding Sunday roast. With a visit if you love good food, good Ale and good company .
Lovely old country pub. Good food, good beer, friendly staff, nice ambiance.
Lovely, friendly landlady. Huge roaring log fire, delicious roast and scrumptious beer. Great circular walk from pub too.
